It is well known that
every teenager likes to speak on different subjects. Doing a project on what
topics teenagers in Zetland discuss at school I have found a diagram with some
relevant data. I am going to analyse them express my opinion.
As can be seen from the
diagram, the most popular topics among teenagers are popular games and songs
and tasks and grades – 33% and 26% respectively. On the contrary, the least
popular theme is plans for the future, as only 8 percent of the respondents
have chosen this option.
According the data in
the diagram, teenagers also choose such topic as relationships with parents and
siblings (14%) and it is 5 percent less popular than fashion and gadgets (19%).
It demonstrates that adolescents don’t really want to talk about their family
relationships.
As far as I can see, a
few problems can arise with communication with peers. The main problem is that
everyone has different interests and this can often lead to conflicts. I
suppose that respect for the opinion of others can help to solve this problem.
In conclusion, I
strongly believe that communication with peers is very important for teenagers
because thanks to it adolescents can find understanding among people of their
own age.

Recent studies show that teenagers spend all money on different things. To learn more about it, I have found some information on what adolescents in Zetland spend their money on. As a part of my project, I have analyzed these data and come across some interesting findings.
According to the data I have found in the table, teenagers have a wide-range choices when it comes to purchases. The majority of the respondents prefer buying clothes and shoes (34%) whereas spending money on concerts and events is the least popular choice (10%). Buying video games and apps is also quite popular, making up 25% of the respondents respectively.
It is noticeable that there is a substantial difference between the most and the least popular choice of purchases: predictably, spending money on shoes and clothes is almost at 3 times more popular than spending them on concerts and events. The difference between spending money on eating out and personal care is also considerable. It is less than 10% which is surprising because both of these purchases are not favoured by teenagers in Zetland.
Although financial literacy is studied by teenagers at school, it is still very hard to understand some aspects of spending money. The problem is that adolescents do not value money and can spend everything quickly. The best solution is to practise by making a list of purchases and planning the budget of the month.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that despite some problems associated with spending money, shopping obviously plays a big role in teenagers’ lives, teaching them how to make the right choice and manage money.

Intro
Our class was tasked with doing a project about teenagers around the world. A few topics were offered and I decided to do a project on the most popular DIY hobbies among teenagers in Zetland.
Facts
It is important to mention that the centerpiece of the project is the data in the chart that I found online. The data has three main features. Firstly, according to the ranking, the group that voted for paper modelling (40%) is the largest. Secondly, the categories of candle making and soap making gained the same percentages (17%) in the vote. Thirdly, the categories of collage art (14%) and pottery (12%) are in the lower part of the chart.
Comparisons
It is noteworthy that paper modelling outnumbers all the other four categories by 20% and more. I think the reason is the cost of materials and facilities that teenagers often cannot afford, and paper modelling is the cheapest crafting hobby in comparison to the others.
Problem
However enjoyable DIY hobbies are, there is a problem that can occur with them. It is often too expensive to start DIY hobbies. For instance, one needs space, special clay and equipment to make pottery. Or, for example, candles or soap cannot be made without special tools. The solution to the problem is joining a hobby group where equipment can be rented or used for free. In the case of teenagers, they can also ask their parents for help.
Conclusion
To conclude, I think that it is important that teenagers participate in DIY hobbies. By doing so, they will develop their creativity, learn to produce things and learn basic business skills when trying to sell them.

It is well known that reading preferences vary with each age group. I am currently working on a project whose aim is to establish what book genres are popular among 13- to 19-year-olds in Zetland. Below, I am going to analyse the statistics I have found on this issue. (49 words)
As can be seen from the table, adventure fiction is the most popular genre among Zetland’s young people: the majority of the respondents (55.4%) prefer it to the other genres. Detective, war and spy stories follow closely with 55.3%. Another key feature of the results of the opinion polls is that less than a fifth of the teenagers surveyed (17.6%) enjoy reading romances, which places this kind of books at the bottom of the table. (75 words)
Further analysis shows that teenage boys and girls in Zetland are also fond of sports and animal stories. However, sports stories prove to be just slightly less popular than the two leading genres and almost twice as favoured as animal stories. They hold third position with 49.2%, whereas animal stories rank fourth with 27.2%. (54 words)
Although many teenagers cannot imagine their lives without books, there is a problem connected with reading: it is known to cause eyestrain. Fortunately, book lovers can solve this problem by taking regular breaks from their favourite activity and doing special eye exercises. (42 words)
I think that despite the problems young readers may face, reading is of primary importance for them because it broadens their horizons and helps to develop their character. (28 words)
